HUGE INTERESTS for Masters Handball World Cup 2018 – Brazilians and Germans first guests!

The second Masters Handball World Cup 2018 will be held on the same place – lovely Croatian city of Omis on Adriatic Coast between May 10 and 13.

After first event in May 2017, when 22 teams from 10 countries produced amazing energy and brought home unforgetable memories, one of the biggest handball tournament for veterans, become a “place to be” for all who wants to play and enjoy handball time in their free-time – after active playing career.

“Combination of very well organized event, brand-new halls only 20 meters to the sandy beach, hotel in amazing atmosphere of Adriatic coast, strong media support and live-stream of all matches is definitely something what you can’t miss”, saying the organizers.

The application process for 2018 is already open. It is almost clear that second Masters Handball World Cup 2018 won’t be only European event as Brazilian Recife Masters Handball team applied fora the tournament as a part of their first European tour. For the first time also team from Germany – Kickers Offenbach, will be a part of the tournament.

Masters Handball World Cup – DAY 1

First day of first edition MASTERS HANDBALL WORLD CUP in Omis (Croatia) came to an end. Even now it is obvious that idea of reunion of handball legends was great, because audience and players themselves ejoyed in fantastic atmosphere in SC “Ribnjak”. They also had a chance to see a great performances of dance groups and animators, and to have nice time during exciting games on the pitch.
The turnament was opened by legendary Croatian national team player Patrik Cavar.

OVER 20 TEAMS FROM 10 COUNTRIES: MH World Cup to start in Omiš

Masters Handball World Cup starts on Friday in Omis, Croatia. Exactly 21 teams in three categories (male +37 and +50 and female +25) from 10 countries will compete for the trophies on the first ambitious events in two brand-new hall in beautiful atmosphere of Adriatic coast.
Teams are coming from Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Poland, Ukraine, Italy, Hungary, Serbia, Czech Republic and Austria.
Happening will start on Friday at 16.00 hrs with opening ceremony and few matches.

MVP Award “Iztok Puc”

The first edition of the Masters Handball World Cup 2017 will be held between April 28 and May 1 in Omis, Croatia. One of the biggest events for handball veterans in Europe this year will be a chance that organizers together with ex-handball stars from a lot of countries pay tribute to those – who gave a lot to our sport.

MHWC 2017 Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award will be named “Iztok Puc” in memory to Slovenian-Croatian left back who passed away in 2011.

Iztok Puc (14 September 1966 – 20 October 2011) was one of the world’s top players of the 1980s and 1990s. During his career he played professionally for Borac Banja Luka, Zagreb, Celje and Prule 67. He won a total of 18 domestic trophies. He has won the elite EHF Champions League in 1992 and 1993, both times with Zagreb. He is one of very few handball players who represented three different countries at the Summer Olympics (Yugoslavia, Croatia and Slovenia),[4][5][6] winning bronze with Yugoslavia in 1988 and gold with Croatia in 1996. In 2009, he was named the best overall player in the history of Slovenian handball.

A few weeks ago, organizers announced that official hall of the Masters Handball World Cup 2017 will be named – Vlado Stenzel, as homage to the first ever Olympic champion as a coach.

There is still time to apply and join one of the biggest events for handball veterans in Europe this year.

Huge interest in Masters Handball World Cup 2017!

Less than three and a half months stayed before the opening ceremony of the Masters Handball World Cup 2017. A lot of teams applied already for the biggest handball event for veterans in Europe this year. All the guests of beautifulm Dalmatia and Adriatic coast between April 28 – May 1, will have chance to feel a real international atmosphere and to play against handball rivals and meet friends from all over the world.
For now, teams are coming from Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Turkey, Italy, Ukraine, but there is a huge interest of our handball friends from Germany, Austria, Brazil, Argentina, Serbia and so on.
An “early bird” application until February 1 will give you a chance to win a special gift of organizers.
